Who for?: the church services are designed exclusively to meet the needs of adults with learning disabilities. However, we are an open church service where anyone over 12 years of age can attend whether they have a disability or not, if they feel the style of service meets their needs. For example, someone may have other comprehension difficulties that might make the service appeal them. Anyone wishing to attend our church between the ages of 12 and 18 yrs. of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Regular worshippers have the opportunity to become Members of our church.
Level of Care: at our church we take seriously the need to help keep vulnerable people safe from harm. All our staff and volunteers are Enhanced CRB checked and we operate volunteer recruitment and management policies. We have active risk assessments, vulnerable adult protection policies and health and safety polices. One limitation to the care we offer is that we cannot offer support to people with regard to intimate care. It is the responsibility of the attendee to independently sort out their needs in this area for the duration of our services.
